Our adult choir sings at 11 am Mass every Sunday, and at the major liturgies throughout the year. We practise on Tuesday evening from 8-9pm in the Parish Room (beside the Parish Office). New members are always welcome. Members should be at least 15yrs old, and able to regularly attend on Tuesdays and Sundays.

Some of our choir with Bishop Kevin Doran on his recent visit.

Sing with the Choir! – practise at home audio and video.

Regina Caeli Jubila. (Michael Praetorius (1571-1621), adapted words.)

This is a light, joyful piece, celebrating the Assumption of Mary. It has three voices SAB (soprano, alto, bass). The practise tracks are tune only, without words, and slower than the piece is usually sung. The first has all three voices together, then one track for each of the three voices. The words are below.

Regina Caeli Jubila – SAB together
REgina Caeli Jubila – Soprano only
Regina Caeli Jubila – Alto only
Regina Caeli Jubila – Bass only (all men)

Rejoice, O, Mary, heav’nly Queen, Gaude Maria.

O wondrous Sign in heaven seen,  Alleluia.

Laetare O Maria. Laetare O Maria, Maria.

The Son you bore by heaven’s grace,

Now leads you to your heav’nly place

For with your ‘Yes’ you gave Him room

And bore Him in your virgin womb

And He now crowns you with His love

To reign as Queen from Heav’n above

We are your children, O new Eve

With joy your blessing we receive
