Baptisms take place in Sallynoggin on the first Sunday and third Saturday of the month. The time for Saturday’s Baptism is 12.00pm and on Sunday after 11.30am Mass.

You will come to present your child for Baptism. By water and the Holy Spirit he/she is to receive the gift of new life from God, who is love. On your part, you must make it your constant care to bring him/her up in the practice of the faith. See that the divine life which God gives him/her is kept safe from the poison of sin, to grow always stronger in his/her heart.

Only one Godparent (over 16 years of age) is necessary but if you choose to have two Godparents, there must be one male and one female.

To book your child’s baptism please contact the parish office (located at the rear of the presbytery), your child’s birth certificate is required when booking the baptism.

In order to ensure that an individual has a right to obtain a certificate either for themselves or on behalf of another we now require applicants to complete a ‘Certificate Request Form’.  It may also be necessary to provide photographic ID when collecting same.
